SonKim Land awards scholarships to disadvantaged students in Quang Nam for a happy Tet

28 Jan 2021
HCMC, 28 January 2021, SonKim Land in collaboration with Quang Nam News awarded 20 scholarships with a total value of 1 billion VND to students heavily affected by floods in 4 districts of Quang Nam province: Dong Giang, Phuoc Son, Nam Tra My, and Bac Tra My.
Storms and floods in the Central region at the end of 2020 have left many damages that have not been fully recovered, of which children are one of the most disadvantaged. Many sponsors supported the central provinces right after the storms, but perhaps very few sponsors consider supporting the victims just before Tet when everyone is trying their best to have a happy Lunar New year. Therefore, SonKim Land has decided to choose this time to support people and the targeted beneficiary is school-aged children so that they can have a happy Tet, go to school worry-free and have the knowledge to contribute to their family and society in the future.
Mr. Andy Han Suk Jung, CEO of SonKim Land is giving the scholarships to students
Mr. Andy Han Suk Jung, CEO of SonKim Land shared, “The hard situation of the pandemic last year could not prevent us from continuing corporate social responsibility activities because we know that many difficult areas need us at the moment.”
These scholarships will be awarded to students who lost their family members to the disaster last October, have families severely affected (losing their homes, properties, livelihoods), in a multi-child family, and are in a disadvantaged situation but have not received any support.

With each scholarship of 50 million VND, SonKim Land hopes to partly support the students
until they complete the High School program
To ensure sustainability, the scholarships awarded by SonKim Land will be sent in the form of savings books and monitored by Quang Nam news so that the money is used appropriately for the children.
With each scholarship of 50 million VND, SonKim Land hopes to partly support the students until they complete the High School program. Besides, the company chooses the time before the Lunar New Year to award with the wish that students can have a full Tet as well as be more motivated to study in the new year.
As shared by Quang Nam News, our charity partner, many victims are still struggling to make ends meet before Tet. Witnessing the hard circumstance of people, SonKim Land would like to call for the support of other corporates. If you are looking for a place for charity, please come to Quang Nam and share a little happiness to disadvantaged people in here.
